Selection Criteria

This course is open to all Institut Curie's employees but priority is given to PhDs and post-docs. Preference will be given to PhDs from the EuReCa PhD Programme.



Native Scientist

Joana Moscoso, PhD

With 11 years of experience in science communication and outreach, Joana is the co-founder and director of Native Scientist, an award-winning European-wide non-profit organisation that provides science outreach training to international scientists, and delivers educational programmes that help ethnic minority and migrant children develop high aspirations and positive attitudes to science and language. Her science outreach work has been distinguished multiple times, including prizes from the Royal Society of Biology, Imperial College London, and MIT Innovator Under 35. 



Sara Marques, PhD 

With 15 years of experience in science communication and outreach, Sara has been responsible for developing, coordinating, delivering and evaluating a wide variety of outreach activities. She became Native Scientist’s training manager three years ago where she coaches scientists to deliver impactful science outreach projects.
