Institut Curie promotes networking and meetings between researchers, in the aim of broadening people’s scientific horizons. This motto looms large:
“a trainee is a trainer”
Our mentoring program supports researchers during their training according to their profile:
- doctoral students (thesis committees)
- post-doctoral students (lab management)
- junior groups (personalized monitoring and retreat)
It aims to stimulate their personal development and help them acquire professional skills through career development courses.
Furthermore, the Training Unit works closely with the Association of PhD students and young Post-Docs of Institut Curie (http://adic.curie.fr/) in order to better meet the needs of young researchers.
Other programs, such as the research apprentice program, are designed to interest secondary school and sixth form students in science.
