Institut Curie has many Alumni who have done their master, PhD or post-doc at the institute, and who have afterwards proceeded to follow a range of career paths. We would like to introduce you to some of them.
Genetic predispositions are increasingly being diagnosed, discussed or suspected to explain childhood cancers. We will consider describing how a predisposition syndrome leads to cancer, how to interpret variants and how to validate their pathological character, both clinically and in research. We will discuss the merits of surveillance programs, and address through case discussions how to approach the complexity of genetic information management at all levels.
