The list of 2026 International Courses organized by Institut Curie’s Advanced Training Office in coordination with researchers is now available.
The course is dedicated to the most current knowledge linking developmental biology with the cellular and molecular study of cancers. Neural crest and melanomas, from their initiation to their migration (metastasis) as well as pediatric cancer from embryonic origins such as medulloblastomas and neuroblastomas are taken as examples.
The course benefits from a multidisciplinary approach at multiple scales (embryology on various models, biophysics, cell biology, transcriptomics, imaging ...). It also breaches therapeutic approaches.
The course includes round tables on careers in academia or industry, on scientific article publication as well as on ethics in animal experimentation. Posters sessions for doctoral students are also organized and prizes for the best posters will be awarded by the attendees.
To discuss the most relevant questions in the field of Development and Cancer. To highlight the multiple complementary approaches available to study the complex processes involved in development and cancer. To discuss melanocyte and melanoma biology, as well as pediatric cancers such as medulloblastoma and neuroblastoma. For master and doctoral students as well as for researchers and clinicians.

Be part of a jury awarding the best poster price for posters presented by PhD students and post-docs from the Institute.
3 ECTS can be awarded from Université Paris Saclay ONLY for Master Students (or PhD students) who have registered at Université Paris Saclay (fees) OR who belong to another University with a pedagogical agreement (In this case, their host university delivers the ECTS): candidates have to defend an oral examination (conférence presentation followed by questions). If you would like to defend the examination while not currently registered at University Paris Saclay, please contact the organizers before November 1st 2025.
Validation of 3 ECTS for M2 students who request it (see conditions below).
The presence at the entire conference allows to obtain a certificate to validate the course as a continuous training for PhD students.
